Inspire me, beloved torment

Excuse the shortness, this is a filler of sorts.

Tim was a tad uncomfortable by the whole situation he was in at the moment. Raelynn had him cornered in a zone of the house, very far away from the living room, and was looking at him like he was some juicy piece of meat or something. Jared had never told him what to do in this case, so he was trapped and was sweating like a pig, stuttering, blushing furiously and had no idea what to do. Pushing her was not something a gentleman would do, and his mother would not approve of such thing.

“Oh, Timmy…” Raelynn practically purred, toying absentmindedly with his ruffled necktie. “I want to ask you something…”

“Y-y-y-y-yes…?” Tim blushed even more, he felt like his head might blow up any time soon.

“Did you, by any chance, hear anything strange in your cousin’s room last night?” She asked, looking up at Tim with big, coquettish eyes.

“I-I-I-I-I…”

“Yes, Timmy?” Raelynn inched closer to him, with her purry voice and her big flirty eyes. “Tell me all about it…”

“S-she…” Tim blushed some more, and gulped. “S-s-s-she was… I-I-I t-think they do have r-r-relations…”

“Do you, now?” Raelynn smiled, she stepped away from Tim. “Well then, I think I am going to have to ask her directly…”

“W-w-what?”

“Thank you, Timmy dear.” Raelynn ruffled Tim’s hair and left him standing there, wondering what that was all about.

Jared found Tim curled in a ball in a corner, his knees folded against his chest and his arms covering his face, he seemed like a small, frightened child, and Jared felt pity for the poor boy.

“Kelleher… What happened?” Jared poked Tim’s hip with the tip of his shoe, and Tim looked up with big teary eyes and told Jared what Raelynn had done. “What? That is… That woman is terrible!”

“B-b-but… It is all m-my fault…”

“Timothy Kelleher, if you do not stop stuttering I will kick you. Do you want to know why she takes advantage of you? Because you are weak! You are malleable, she can play with you however she wants, and that is not how a man is supposed to be.”

“I-I…”

“No, shut up. You are smothered and socially incapable, and in that bloody ball you better man up and make me proud, or so God help me, I will kick you into the middle of next year, do you hear me?”

“Y-yes…”

“Stop stuttering!”

“Yes!” Tim shut his eyes tight and a few tears escaped his eyes, Jared knelled in front of him and grabbed his shoulders tightly.

“Listen to me, no lady shall ever have the privilege of seeing you cry, none! You must keep your dignity! It is the only thing that you have! Do you understand me?”

“Yes…”

“Now stand up and wipe those tears, you are much better than this, and you will show her who you are…”

“But… How?”

“Well… We shall get a costume for you that will make you look like a walking temptation.”

Jared let out an evil smirk, and Tim wasn’t so sure this was a good idea anymore.

After many days trying to find the perfect accessories and assorted objects that she could use for her costume, Katherine was ready, the night before the awaited party, she was lying in bed, looking at the ceiling and feeling satisfied with herself, her costume would be a true wonder. She laid there, her naked body covered with the bed sheet and her arms resting on her stomach, waiting patiently for her husband, who got easily entertained by his brother and his brother’s friend. Katherine hoped Shannon did not have the same habits his brother had.

That would hurt her, considering she was falling so much in love with him…

Shannon arrived shortly after and undressed absentmindedly, when he was completely naked, he walked over to the bed and crawled under the blankets, lying on his back and staring at the ceiling along with Katherine. Suddenly, Katherine turned around and put her head in Shannon’s chest, her right hand toying with the fine hairs in his chest, she looked up at Shannon and he looked back at her, kissing the tip of her nose and smiling. Katherine smiled back, and then rested her head back on his chest and sighed.

“Shannon?” She whispered, and her husband looked at her, frowning, she had a hard time using his name, and now she had just said it so normally.

“What is it, my love?”

“I…” Katherine blushed and looked away. “I should have not asked, but…”

“What happened?”

“I asked Jared, how I could possibly please you…” Katherine lay on her stomach on top of Shannon’s body, her hands rested on his chest. “And he told me about things I could do… But I should have not asked…”

“Katherine…” Shannon grabbed his wife by her arms, careful not to hurt her. “What did he tell you?”

“That I…” Katherine blushed furiously and looked away. “That I should… Oh, he used such vulgar words!”

“What did he say?” Shannon asked patiently.

“He said I should… I should… Try fellatio…” Katherine blushed more, and Shannon looked slightly shocked. “I… I do not even know how that is done!”

“Well…” Shannon had the decency of blushing and he coughed a little, trying to find the right words t explain to his wife how that worked. “You know when… When we touched for the first time?”

“Yes…” Katherine blushed slightly.

“Well… You do the same thing but… With your mouth…”

“My what?” Katherine sat up on the bed, looking at Shannon as if he had two heads.

“Your mouth, yes…”

“But… But… That is not right… That is… That is…”

“Jared should not have suggested such a thing…” Shannon sat up too, tucking Katherine’s chocolate red hair behind her ear. “I did not want to tell you about it because I did not want to make you uncomfortable…”

“I did not know that was what I had to do to repay you for what you have made me feel…” Katherine blushed and looked away. “Now I am really not sure if I can do it…”

“You do not have to if it makes you uncomfortable…”

“But I wish I could please you…” Katherine shifted a little uncomfortably. “I wish I could…”

“It is alright… You do not have to…” Shannon tucked Katherine’s hair behind her ear and then held her close gently. “Sleep, love, tomorrow is going to be a long day.”

“Yes…”

She curled in his arms and yawned, falling asleep shortly after. Shannon watching over her until sleep defeated him as well.

The night came faster than any other night.

Katherine retired to the room she shared with her husband early; she was bored of sitting in the living room, with her mother and her sister, looking at the males in the house playing a boring game of cards. She stifled a yawn while Petra helped her undress and put her nightgown on. As soon as the maid was gone, Katherine untied the nightgown and took it off; she slid under the covers completely naked and curled into a ball next to Shannon’s spot in the bed, hugging the pillow. It still had his scent attached to it. Masculine, intoxicating, and she buried her face in the pillow, savoring that scent as it invaded her nostrils…

She never noticed when the door to the room opened and closed, and she had no idea Shannon was in the room with her, until he started crawling on top of her in the bed, already fully undressed, she looked up at him, and his predatory smile, along with his eyes, darkened with lust almost scared her, but then he laid on top of her completely, took her hand and kissed her knuckles gently, and she felt safe. Shannon kissed her cheek and her neck, nibbling softly on the skin he found there. Katherine let out a soft moan, placing a hand lovingly on Shannon’s cheek, suddenly; he left go of her neck and took the covers off from her body, and he laid on top of her, careful not to crush her, and kissed her lips gently, one hand sliding under her waist to hold her, and the other one moving slowly to her rosebud, caressing the entrance and making Katherine moan in the kiss.

“Husband… Please…” Katherine moaned sliding her hands up and down Shannon’s back.

“May I show you something?”

“What is it?” Katherine looked up, curious.

“Wait and see…” Shannon kissed her lips again, and then his own traveled from there to her neck, kissing their way down between her breasts, he left a gentle kiss on both and then kissed her stomach, holding her hips with his hands and licking around her navel slowly.

“Ah…” Katherine moaned, writhing under Shannon and blushing. “What are you…?”

“Yes…” Katherine sighed, blushing at the endearment Shannon used for her, she closed her eyes and tried to relax and not think about whatever Shannon was going to do.

“So far, all you’ve done is to try to please me…” Katherine looked away. “I feel like I have done nothing to prove that my feelings have changed… I enjoy everything you do to me, but I want to be able to please you too… And I do not know how and that makes me feel terrible…”

“I just do not know if you are ready…”

“I will never be if you do not let me try…” Katherine looked up at him again, her eyes were glassy. “Or will you stop liking me because I do not know how to please you?”

“Katherine, no…” Shannon shifted as to lie next to Katherine, holding her in his arms and hugging her to his chest, now she was crying. “I would never stop loving you just because you do not know what to do. You are young and have absolutely no way of knowing about these things. My love, please don’t cry…” Katherine sobbed in silence, hiding her face in Shannon’s chest. “You do not need to give me anything or do anything for me to be happy, I’m happy enough pleasing you.”

“But…”

“When you are ready, love… Right now the only thing I want is to show you that you do not need to be scared of me or of what your body feels. I want you to be able to understand yourself first, and experience pleasure in you, before trying to please me…”

“I am sorry…” Katherine said, still sobbing against his chest. “I just… Wanted to know how… I am sorry… I will never ask again…”

“Oh my love…” Shannon held her a little tighter, kissing her forehead over and over. “I am not chastising you, forgive me if I made it seem that way, I would never do such a thing…”

“But you just said…”

“But that does not mean you cannot ask again later on.” Shannon made his young wife look up at him, and kissed her lips softly. “If you feel you are ready right now, I can show you, but if you are not, then you should wait, I do not want you to do anything you are not entirely comfortable doing.”

“Alright…” Katherine curled a little in Shannon’s embrace. “I just… Wanted to be able to please you too…”

“You will, eventually. And besides…” Shannon made Katherine look up at him and kissed her lips. “Right now, what pleases me is to be able to please you.”

“I understand…” Katherine curled in her husband’s embrace and yawned. “I am tired…”

“Sleep, love…”

She nodded softly, resting her cheek on Shannon’s chest, after a long sigh, her eyes closed slowly, and Katherine fell asleep, her hands resting on Shannon’s chest and her lips slightly parted, her chocolate red hair a mess in the other pillow. Shannon looked at her and kissed her forehead gently. He wasn’t sure if Katherine was ready to provide just yet, he wanted her to be ready, he wanted her to be learn everything.

Maybe tomorrow night…

Raelynn had invited both Teresa and Katherine to her house for some tea and cupcakes, it was almost her birthday and she wanted to give them invitations to her party personally, so she invited them over, besides, she wanted to be in her own territory this time, in case Katherine brought that handsome, fiddly cousin of hers.

She had to admit that she actually found Timothy Kelleher quite attractive, but his fiddling and his stuttering and all his shyness bothered her. The man was incredibly shy, and he fiddled too much, and he stuttered all the time and he blushed, and stuttered, and blushed… It was cute for a while, but after some time, it got annoying.

Raelynn wanted nothing but to grab Tim and shake him and make a man out of him. But not yet, she still had to make him take the first step, she wanted him to be the one to ask her for a dance at her party, she wanted Tim to have some bollocks and actually take the first step. She was flirting with Matt -who she didn’t even find attractive AT ALL- to try and make Tim jealous, and so far it seemed to be working, but Tim just sat there, fiddling with his coat and looking uncomfortable. She wanted Tim to do or say something, but apparently, he wasn’t man enough to say anything, and that bothered Raelynn.

When Katherine arrived, she was escorted by all the males that lived in her home now. Shannon proudly taking her hand, while Jared and Matt walked behind them, and Tim half walked, half dragged himself behind the whole entourage, taking his little cousin Leticia’s hand, Raelynn looked at her window, delighted, but made an annoyed face when she saw that Matt and that manwhore that Katherine now called brother were coming with them. She despised Jared so much, the man was nothing but a filthy Casanova, God only knew what illnesses he’d caught from all of his little adventures with various females, she didn’t like the fact that he was there, but she had to go and greet them all anyways.

Raelynn went downstairs, raising her dark red skirts -Her brother was always on her about the colors she chose for her dresses, and the seamstresses always made weird faces when she chose the colors too- as she walked, and then went to greet Katherine and her whole entourage, hugging her friend eagerly, and shaking Shannon’s hand -it had become a sort of agreement between them, and Katherine still found it weird-, then she turned to Jared, who she very reluctantly greeted by kissing both his cheeks while he slid a hand on her waist and almost kissed her lips, but she pinched his side and he left go immediately.  She did the same to greet Matt, but he was respectful, she then walked over to Tim, looking at him fiddle with his ruffled neck tie and looking at the floor as if it were the most interesting thing in the world, she smiled and kissed both of Tim’s cheeks, and he blushed furiously -was that steam coming out of his ears?-, then she held his arm and dragged him inside.

When Raelynn passed next to Jared, he was giving Tim a satisfied look, as if he were a proud mother or something, she raised her brow and then decided to ignore Jared, and kept dragging Tim into the house.

“I hope you make yourself comfortable, my home is not much, but it is quite a home.” She said, still holding Tim’s arm firmly.

“Rae, your home is definitely bigger than mine; it always makes me feel poor…” Katherine said, her skirts covered her feet, so it looked like she was gliding on the floor, kind of pulled by her husband.

“Oh, nonsense! You have such a lovely home, Kat!”

“Women, they never wish to make the other one feel less…” Jared commented, and Raelynn passed next to him again, kicking his shin on her way, Jared made a face, but didn’t express his obvious discomfort.

“Now…” Raelynn detached herself from Tim and sat on a big couch, crossing her legs and flashing everyone with her ankles. Shannon looked away decently, and so did Matt, but Jared raised a brow, smiling, and Tim just stood there, staring and blushing furiously. “We will wait for Tess to get here, and then we’ll talk about my plans for this weekend.”

“Rae… Your ankles are showing…” Katherine said, almost whispering.

“So what? I have nothing in them that you or they have never seen before, we all have ankles, you know…”

“Well yes, but…” Katherine couldn’t continue, because a flash of dark passed right next to her, in a moment, Tim was sitting next to Raelynn, covering her crossed legs with her long skirts, so no one could get a glimpse of her ankles anymore.

Katherine looked at her cousin as if he had suddenly sprouted a second head, he sat there, glaring at everyone and covering Raelynn carefully. She turned to her husband and Shannon had the same expression, Tim was acting strange today. Raelynn looked at him, raising a brow and smiling.

“Oh Mister Kelleher, what a gentleman!” She laughed and playfully slapped his arm, while Tim blushed again and looked away, sitting on her side, uncomfortably.

There was a bit of tension until Teresa arrived, then the mood lightened up a bit, Katherine sat next to Shannon in one of the big couches, and Jared managed to get Teresa to sit next to him, while Matt sat on Teresa’s other side, and little Leticia sat next to him, staring at him as if he were the most amazing human being in the world and making him generally uncomfortable.

“So…” Raelynn crossed her legs again, and Tim was rapidly covering her ankles, which was starting to annoy her. “I am going to have a little party this weekend.”

“Oh, that is great, Rae!” Katherine looked at Shannon, excited. “I can finally use that lovely dress you bought for me, husband!”

“I guess you will, finally.” Shannon smiled back; Jared looked at his brother and his wife as if they were both crazy.

“I just wanted you all to have an invitation.” Raelynn reached the center table and handed everyone a neatly sealed envelope. “You cannot go in without this invitation, so this will be a very exclusive ball.”

“Which means…?” Katherine looked at the little envelope, frowning.

“Which means that strange, scary foreigner is not invited, and he cannot get into this party without an invitation.”

“I see…” Katherine was somehow not disappointed by this. The foreigner scared her a little. “Well, I am sure you will throw a great one!”

“Oh, and before you go and are all happy because you have something to wear… It is a costume party…”

“Oh…” Katherine looked down sadly.

“We will look for another dress for you, love.” Shannon wrapped Katherine’s shoulders with one arm and held her close.

“But I did not want you to spend more than necessary; I will just see what I can do to that one so I can use it.” Katherine smiled, she put her head in Shannon’s shoulder, and her chocolate red locks fell on his chest.

Raelynn looked at their exchange with a sudden interest. Katherine hadn’t said anything about how her relationship with her husband was developing at this point, but she was sure that something special was going on between the couple.

She would have to ask Tim later.

The next morning, Shannon woke up feeling like the grass was greener and the birds sang more happily than other days, he looked to his side and smiled. Katherine slept peacefully, hidden in his embrace, she had a tiny smile on her lips and the sunlight bathed her soft skin with a beautiful light that made her look like a sleeping angel. He kissed her slightly parted lips softly and she shifted a little, but didn’t wake up, and he smiled, holding her closer and whispering a soft ‘I love you’ in her ear.

Katherine shifted in her sleep yet again, and curled closer to Shannon, letting out a soft sigh. Despite the fact that they did nothing but touching each other, Shannon was entirely satisfied with the past night’s development, he had touched Katherine in an intimate way, a way no one else had touched her, and she had touched him just as intimately, he felt, however, that he needed to try more intimate things with her to help her build more confidence with him. He didn’t want to deflower her just yet, she wasn’t ready, she was easily frightened and was just getting used to him, he would take things slowly, present her with some gentle foreplay. When Katherine was ready, she would come and tell him she was, and then everything would happen smoothly, or at least that was what he wanted.

He held Katherine in his arms for a long while, letting out a relaxed sigh. He wished that things had been this way from the beginning, but they hadn’t, yet he was not regretful of the way they did, he was just glad that he was finally able to touch her. That Katherine had allowed him to at least touch her this way, he was sure eventually, very soon, Katherine would be ready.

Raelynn was not amused, Teresa was, but she wasn’t. They had come really early to visit Katherine, and it was Timothy Kelleher, Katherine’s fiddly cousin, the one who opened the door instead of a maid, he fidgeted and shifted uncomfortably where he was standing, while Raelynn and Teresa were still standing in the entrance, waiting. Finally, with an irritated sigh, Raelynn closed her fan roughly and glared at Tim.

“Will you let us come in or are you going to stand there fiddling with yourself all day?”

“I-I-I am sorry!” Tim blushed and dragged himself away from the entrance, Teresa walked inside, hiding her giggles behind her fluffy fan, and Raelynn walked in, glaring at Tim. She stood there for a few minutes, looking at him, and Tim blushed a little more and looked away, then, out of nowhere, Raelynn stood next to him and grabbed his arm.

“Walk with me to the dining room, Timmy dear, I wish for nothing more but to sit next to you during breakfast.”

“I… Yes…” Tim blushed some more and fiddled with the hem of his jacket, being dragged insistently by Raelynn, who practically made him sit beside her in the dining table.

“Where are Katherine and her husband?”

“They…” Tim blushed again; he did not wish to admit that he had heard his cousin the night before, and he could not help but make assumptions. “I d-d-do not w-wish to m-make assumptions… But…” Tim leaned over so Teresa, on the other side of the dining table, could hear him. “I t-think they had relations last night…” He whispered, Raelynn snorted in a very unladylike way and Teresa blushed.

“They did? Are you sure?” Raelynn laughed this time, looking at the blushing, fiddling man.

“W-well I h-heard Kat and…” Tim sank in his seat.

“I honestly do NOT think they did.” Teresa sat back, still blushing. “Katherine was not even sure she liked him.”

“If they did not, then why are they not here?” Raelynn raised a brow, Teresa blushed slightly, and so did Tim. “No point in thinking about it, when they get here, we shall ask.”

“Rae, you would not!” Teresa looked at her, shocked.

“Oh, yes I would.” She replied, sitting back and opening her fan.

Jared woke to an -as always- empty bed; he sighed, irritated, got out of the giant bed and started dressing himself. Today would be a good day. He had heard something about that Sullivan girl and the Carrera girl coming over for breakfast. Perhaps one of them would entertain him this morning.

He dressed elegantly, and got out of his room just in time to see that lovely girl María leaving his brother and his wife’s room, and both of them emerging from said room, walking together, Shannon held Katherine by the waist and kissed her temple softly, and she blushed. Jared had to rub his eyes to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. His brother and his wife were actually getting along perfectly fine this morning and he didn’t understand why.

Not knowing what to say or think or do, Jared stood there for a while, until his brother and his beautifully dressed wife were out of sight, he stood there long enough for Matt to join him in the hall.

“Rising early?” His friend said, kicking Jared out from the zone that was his thoughts.

“Oh… Yes!” Jared looked at him as if he had never seen him before. “Yes, yes, we should go and have our breakfast, should we not?”

“I believe we should.” Matt left, but Jared stood there another couple of minutes, until finally deciding he should go downstairs.

In the dining room reigned a strange silence, everyone looked at everyone. Lady Carmen glared at her older daughter, while Katherine gazed slightly at Shannon, who would sometimes look back at her and smile or laugh slightly; Jared glared at Raelynn, who was visually flirting with Matt, who was, in turn, being visually killed by Tim. Teresa looked at Katherine and Shannon, curious, and little Leticia glared daggers at Raelynn, because how dare she try and flirt with the man that obviously belonged to her?

At some point, while everyone ate, looked, glared, flirted and gazed at each other, Raelynn detached her coquettish gaze from Matt’s and turned to Katherine.

“So, I heard from your cousin that you made quite some noise last night…” She rested her chin on her hand and her elbow on the table, while Katherine almost choked on her food and Shannon coughed slightly. “What DID you do last night, lovebirds?”

“Nothing you would need to know about, Miss Sullivan.” Shannon said, blushing just a bit, more because he was about to choke on his bread than anything else.

“Oh, but Mister Leto!” Raelynn giggled. “Of course I would like to know! And the other males in the room could get some… Tips…” At this, Tim and Matt blushed, and Jared snorted.

“Well… Miss Sullivan… I believe that when you get married you will not want to share what you do with your husband with everyone, will you?”

“I will never marry, I belong to the world!” Raelynn grinned.

“I see…” Shannon raised a brow, while Katherine still tried not to choke on her food.

Raelynn giggled and went back to eating and eye flirting with Matt, who seemed confused by her sudden interest, and wasn’t sure if he liked it or not. Shannon went to help Katherine with her choking, and Leticia still glared daggers at Raelynn. At some point, when she was done choking, Katherine glared and raised a brow at Raelynn as well, a sign that she was not amused by what she did, but would share the details later. Tim was disheartened by the fact that Raelynn had decided to give her undivided attention to Matt, so he sank in his seat and wished for the earth to open up and swallow him whole, and then for the earth to spit him out and make him look slightly appealing to the girl.

When breakfast was over, both Teresa and Raelynn rushed to the little room where they had tea with their friend, they wanted to hear everything about what happened the night before, Katherine was about to join them, but she turned to her husband and looked up at him, blushing.

“I… Would like to do what we did last night again, tonight…”

“If that is what you want.” Shannon smiled and kissed her gently. “I will do anything that pleases you.”

Katherine smiled, and left to the private room, as soon as she entered the room, she was attacked by her friends, who asked her thousands of questions.

“Ladies, ladies!” Katherine pushed her friends aside gently; she sat on her divan and blushed. “I am still virgin.”

“How is that even…?” Raelynn was about to say something, but was attacked in the head by Teresa’s fan.

“We did nothing… We just touched a little…”

“Touched a little…” Raelynn raised a brow. “What kind of touching?”

“Well… He touched my… Private parts a little…”

“So technically, you are half a virgin now.”

“I am not!” Katherine blushed furiously. “We did not do anything, we just touched!”

“Well, touching is half the battle!” Raelynn threw herself in one of the divans, taking a small macaroon from the little tray of sweets in the wooden table between the three divans. “Maybe tonight you can engage in more than touching, eh?”

“I do not think so.” Katherine sighed and sprawled back in the little couch. “I was… I felt many strange things when we touched… I felt moist, and my body was so warm…”

“That, Kat, is called arousal, learn to love it.”

“Rae!” Teresa looked scandalized.

“Anyway!” Raelynn giggled and petted Katherine. “I believe you will be ready to do more than touching very soon.”

“You think so?” Katherine blushed. “I do not know if I will be ready to… Have him… You know…”

“Really now? I think you will be ready very soon if you keep this up!”

“Rae, I do not think you would be one to know, as far as we know, you are still a virgin.” Teresa interrupted.

“Oh, shut it! I may be a virgin, but I know more about these things than you both do!”

“Why, because your brother is so promiscuous?”

“Shut up, Tess!” Raelynn smacked the back of Teresa’s head, huffing indignantly. Katherine giggled.

The truth was, she did not know if she would be ready anytime soon for anything more than touching with Shannon, she was still very scared of him, of his body and of how different it was from hers, she had never seen a man naked before, and Shannon and all his physical differences with her scared Katherine greatly.

Jared was outside the manor, he lit an elegant cigarette and waited, in a few minutes, his sister in law’s friends would leave the manor, this morning, during breakfast, that lovely Carrera girl had tickled his fancy, she was attractive, and he had made it his goal since a few hours ago to seduce her into his bed.

He heard footsteps, which meant one of the ladies was probably leaving, Miss Carrera, probably, because she always left early, he pretended to appear out of nowhere, probably frighten her a little, and then to try and seduce her with sweet words. The footsteps moved closer to the entrance of the manor, and when they were close enough, he turned as fast as lightning, only to get frightened to death by Timothy Kelleher, Katherine’s cousin.

“Oh my Lord, you scared me!” Tim yelled, taking his hand to his heart.

“What are you DOING here?” Jared tried to catch his breath; he was as scared by the whole situation as Tim was. “Are you trying to give me a seizure, child?”

“Why would you appear out of nowhere like that?” Tim looked horrified, he was turning pale. “I was actually looking for you, and you almost kill me of a bloody scare!”

“Wait, why were you looking for me?”

“I…” Tim fiddled with his necktie. “I wanted to ask you something…”

“It is not something compromising or anything is it? I am not interested in males; do not get me wrong, you are quite a handsome boy, but…”

“No!” Tim blushed furiously. “Why would you think such an idiotic, barbaric thing? You are such a depraved man!”

“I was just saying! Many males have approached me with that intention, and you do not seem very interested in engaging in anything remotely sexual with a female!”

“That is precisely the problem!” Tim blushed again. “There IS a maiden I very ardently like, but she does not acknowledge my existence as much as I would like her to…”

“Wait; is it the Sullivan girl you speak of?”

“I…” Tim went back to fiddling and shifting uncomfortably where he was standing. “Yes…”

“Oh Lord! No! You do not want a girl like that one!” Jared looked scandalized. “Look, Kelleher, you seem like a good man, and a lady like that is not a good woman for a good man. She will probably play with your feeling and make you spend your fortune on whatever she desires, she will say yes to your desires, but never tell you when.”

“What?”

“You do want to sleep with her, do you not?”

“What? No! I just want her to notice me! I want her to like me as much as I like her!”

“Oh, well that is…” Jared inspected Tim; this would be harder than he thought. “Easy…”

“Really?”

“Yes! And since I am in a good mood, I will help you! We will make this girl fall madly in love with you, you just wait and see.”

Jared couldn’t say no, Tim looked so hopeful that he could help him. But the fiddling, blushing boy was a lost cause, to be quite honest. All fiddly and shifty and blushing like a virgin girl. He was almost 30 and he looked like a fifteen year old girl by the way he acted.

But Tim looked hopeful, and hope was something that never died on a human being, so if he was hopeful, then there was hope that he would change slightly if Jared helped him.

The only problem was Jared had no idea where to start with Timothy Kelleher, his sister in law’s fiddly, shifty, shy cousin.
